# OB: Getting Started

## How It Works

Adagio participates in Google Open Bidding as a demand access partner, enabling publishers to access multiple sources of programmatic demand through a single integration.

All auction participation, reporting, and billing remain managed through Google Ad Manager. Adagio does not replace Google’s monetization stack and does not require publishers to use a separate reporting interface to monetize Open Bidding traffic.

## Integration Steps

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Prerequisites

Before starting the Open Bidding onboarding with Adagio, ensure you meet the following requirements:

* **Active Google Ad Manager (GAM) account**: Your account must be live and operational.
* **Open Bidding Eligibility**: Your GAM account must be enabled for Open Bidding.
* **Administrative Access:** You need the necessary permissions to add bidders within your Google account.
* **Google Publisher ID**: Have your "Pub ID" ready for identification.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add Adagio as a Bidder

To add Adagio as an Open Bidding partner, navigate to Delivery > Bidders in your Google Ad Manager account and follow the on-screen steps. If you need further assistance, you can refer to the [Google Official Documentation: Onboard with Open Bidding buyers](https://support.google.com/admanager/).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### The Adagio Onboarding Flow

After initiating the request in GAM, you will be automatically redirected to the Adagio platform to link your accounts.

#### Quick Setup Summary:

* Authentication: Sign in to your existing Adagio account or register as a new user.
* Account Profile: New users must provide company details and primary contact information.
* Legal: Review and accept the Adagio Open Bidding Addendum.

As final step, return to your Google Ad Manager tab to accept the final Terms & Conditions and assign Adagio to a Yield Group.

> Pro Tip: Your integration is only active once the final confirmation is submitted within the Google Ad Manager UI. You can toggle back to GAM at any point during the process.
> {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Review and Vetting&#x20;

After submission, Adagio will audit your application and inventory. You can monitor your status within the Google interface:

<table><thead><tr><th width="143.030029296875">Status</th><th>Meaning</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Pending</td><td>Your application is currently under review by our team.</td></tr><tr><td>Approved</td><td>Your setup is verified. Adagio can begin monetizing your inventory.</td></tr><tr><td>Rejected</td><td>Your application does not meet our current inventory criteria.</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" %}
Due to the high volume of applications, Adagio may be unable to provide specific feedback regarding rejected submissions.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Update your ads.txt lines&#x20;

To monetize your inventory through Adagio on Google Open Bidding, you must declare Adagio and its demand partners as authorized sellers in your ads.txt (and/or app-ads.txt for Apps). Please find the list hereby:

### Update your Consent Management Platform (CMP)

To ensure compliance with global User Privacy regulations (including GDPR, TCF v2.2, and CCPA) and maximize your monetization, you need to update your CMP configuration.

**1. Mandatory Requirement: Add Adagio**&#x20;

You must add Adagio to your CMP. Without this, your Open Bidding connection cannot operate.

**2. Strong Recommendation: Add Demand Partners**&#x20;

We strongly advise adding our demand partners as well. If they are missing from your CMP, advertisers relying on user segmentation signals will block their bids on your inventory, significantly reducing your revenue.

👉 Refer to our [GDPR/CCPA/TCF Compliance](/adagio-documentation/operations-and-support/standards-and-compliance/gdpr-ccpa-tcf-compliance.md) guide to get the complete list of Vendor IDs to add.
